Shahrul Nizam Salahudin, Suhaimi Bin Sudin, Nurazariah Abidin, Christine Cheah, Zuliawati Binti Mohamed Saad, NAZIA BINTI AHMAD NEWAZ; Integrated Carbon Emission Measurement & Offset System (Icemos); 25Th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (Itex 2014); Achievement: BRONZE MEDAL - Project Abstract: Carbon footprint calculator has two key objectives: 1) to measure CO2 release by the telecommunication industry that may provide a contribution towards environment, and 2) to allow carbon offsets that facilitate carbon reduction in order to compensate for emissions made by telecommunication industry through tree planting. This concept was subjected to identify the sources, indicators and methods of measuring carbon emissions that will help in policy and guidelines development. The outcomes can be serve as knowledge know how besides of becoming a reference to the policy maker in order to measure the carbon footprint at Telecommunication industry. Furthermore, contribution of the knowledge for sustainability development so that the knowledge to preserve ecosystem will be in concern as well as emergence of new carbon footprint calculator for Telecommunication industry for future generation which will helps for benchmarking.
